Established in 2002, the Crew Person of the Year Award spotlights the contribution our crew make to the business of delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. This award honors the top crew person in each region every year. Starlene Kellogg was recently named the Midwest Region’s 2008-2009 Crew Person of the Year, hailing from Owner Operator Faye Hobley’s Cuming Street restaurant in Omaha, NE.

In my tenure with McDonalds, rarely have I found someone of Star’s caliber. Her commitment to our guests and our team are characteristics that I wish all of my employees exemplified. Star acknowledges the goals and targets that are set for the restaurant, but also takes the initiative to set her own goals – even higher, of course. Her desire to meet the store's targets are important to her, but her personal targets ensure that she serves each guest not only with fast, friendly and accurate service, but with a WOW experience!

Many times we come across unsung heroes, and do our best to sing their praise, but to have their accomplishments recognized on a grander scale is a fantastic opportunity. It is my belief that if Star were to receive this award, it would encourage her to be an even stronger, more dedicated McDonald’s team member, if that is possible. She is very deserving of this recognition.
